Drum Lessons in Toronto with Robin Mason

About a year ago I rebuilt The Guitar Shop’s website and in exchange I received a Yamaha DTXplorer electronic drum kit. I’ve wanted to play the drums for years but I’ve been living in apartments for almost my entire life so it was never really an option. The electronic kit is pretty sweet though, and I played around with it for a couple of months right after I got it.

After a little while though, I realized that I didn’t really know what I was doing and I wanted to get some lessons. Brent from The Guitar Shop had offered to give me lessons in exchange for some maintenance work, but getting out to Port Credit was too much of a pain in the ass for me.

Earlier this month I noticed an ad for drum lessons posted on a billboard by my work and I decided to take one even though I was a bit skeptical. I had my first lesson with Robin 3 weeks ago at his home studio and it was great. Robin’s a great guy, a great drummer and an awesome teacher. He’s starting me off from scratch and even though it’s only been a short amount of time, I’m already starting to feel like a drummer :).

If you’re looking for drum lessons in Toronto, or know someone who is, I highly recommend Robin! Check his info out online at www.torontodrumlessons.com.
