MS Bike Tour, Here I Come

August 23rd, 2008 | by Daniel |

Well, it’s Friday night (actually Saturday morning) and that means I’m just about 30 hours away from participating in the Niagara Falls leg of the Rona MS Bike Tour. On Sunday I’ll be riding 75km in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. Thanks to some friends and family, I’ve managed to raise almost $600! That’s pretty awesome when I think about it. It’s never to late to sponsor me if you haven’t already though, and you can do so online by visiting my fundraising page. Whether it’s $5, $10 or $100, it all goes to a good cause so please donate!

I’m going to give my bike a good cleaning tomorrow and then head over to my dad’s place to spend the night. We’re leaving for Niagara Falls at 6:00am so I’ll need a good night’s rest. I’m starting to think that waking up that early might even be harder than the ride itself ;).

I’ve been neglecting my bike stats page, but I’ve been putting a lot of mileage on my bike lately. My odometer is reading about 650km, and I’d done a fair bit of riding before I even got it. I’d say I’m close to 1000km total since I got the bike in April, which is awesome.
